Mike and Suzette have been in full-time ministry for over 35 years. They have served as Creative Art pastors, worship leaders, church planters, lead pastors in churches across the states. They have three grown children and three grandchildren.

Pastor Mike loves music, sports cars, and playing golf. Coming to Eureka and CCC is a dream come true for him and the Redwoods situated next to the ocean is an amazing backdrop for this chapter in his ministry. Leading and teaching believers to their reach their highest potential is his greatest passion. 

Suzette loves antiques, visiting her grandchildren and being outdoors. The local beaches and state parks are a great place for her to hike and explore especially when the sun breaks thru’ and lights up the bay! One of her greatest joys is to lead and teach women to personal growth and Christian maturity. 

Pastor Mike and Suzette both have a heart and a vision to impact Humboldt County and want to lead a family of believers into greatness. They feel humbled and blessed to stand on the shoulders of the many leaders that have preceded them at CCC. They live by the premise: The best is yet to come! 

People that come to our services always feel welcome and are treated with love and care. God's presence is at the center of all of our gatherings. Whether pursuing the Father in prayer or engaging in whole-hearted worship, our endeavor is to create an atmosphere of joy and freedom in Christ. Each service always includes prayer, worship and sound Biblical teaching. We base everything we do on God’s word and believe our role is to challenge believers to reach for God’s best in their lives and relationships.

THE WORD 

We believe The Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word, the final and infallible guide for all matters of faith and practice. 

II Tim. 3:15-17 

THE TRINITY 

We believe that God is one being who exists in 3 persons; 3 in 1: The Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 

II Cor. 13:14 

JESUS 

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who is completely God and became a man to voluntarily suffered death by crucifixion to atone for the sins of the world. After three days He was raised from the dead. He is exalted and has been given all authority in heaven and earth. 

John 1:1-3; Heb. 1:1-3; I Cor. 15:3-8 

CREATION 

God created humankind, male and female, in His image. Man and woman were created to “worship God and enjoy Him forever” rejoicing in his presence, and resourcefully overseeing His creation. This blessed estate was forfeited through willful rebellion. As a result of this fall, the entire human race is alienated from God and stands in need of divine grace and reconciliation. 

Gen. 3, Rom. 5:12-21 

SALVATION 

Salvation is a gift from God received by repentance from sin and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. God regenerates by His Word, justifies by His grace, adopts by His mercy and sanctifies by His blood. This great salvation cannot be earned by any human effort; it must be received by faith. 

Rom. 3, Eph. 2:8-10; Tit. 3:5 

THE HOLY SPIRIT 

The Holy Spirit lives in every believer empowering & gifting them to live a life pleasing to God. 

Acts 1:8; 2:4; Eph. 5:18; 1 Cor. 12-14; Gal 5:22-23 

THE CHURCH 

We believe participation in the universal church involves commitment to a local family of believers. God has called pastors and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry. Baptism and communion are visible expressions of initiation and continuation in the community of faith. 

Acts 2:38-39, 42-47; II Cor.; Eph. 4:12 

CHRIST’S RETURN 

The Lord Jesus Christ will visibly return to glorify His church and judge unbelievers. Those who belong to Christ will enjoy heaven forever. Those who reject His grace will experience eternal separation from God.
